Canon SD1200IS Digital Elph 10MP

Now there are many 10s mega pixels cameras to choose from, but there is the new Canon Power Shot SD1200IS 10 MP camera with 3 x optical zoom, image stabilization 2.5-inch LCD, and is compared to others in its price range. With an area of 3x optical image stabilization, there are no problems if you have kept in low light hand.

The size of this camera is excellent, which is handy if you want to keep in your pocket or purse.

Some of the advantages of the Canon Power Shot SD1200IS:

1. One problem that can occur with this digital camera is a LCD screen that is too small. It sports a 2.5 inches wide, the great sharpness and clarity of the image shows.

2.For the search menu level menu level has always been a pain. Most devices have a very confusing menus.

3. If you have a camera, the images of exceptional quality with little pressure will do is that you need. The 10 mega pixels quality is almost on the ability of computers to handle more than 1.5 Gigabit, but it is possible to lower quality settings if you go to manipulate the images later.

Canon PowerShot SD1200IS Digital Camera Review – The Perfect 10 Megapixel Digital Camera?

There are now many 10 Megapixel cameras to chose from, but the Canon PowerShot SD1200IS 10 MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.5-inch LCD stands up well when compared with others of its price range. One of the problems you can encounter with these cameras is a too-small LCD screen. This one sports a 2.5 inch-wide one which exhibits great clarity and sharpness to the image. Sometimes the learning-curve on these cameras can be daunting; but this one has simple menus, the modes are all easy to get to, and it’s well-organized. To have to search through menu level after menu level is always a pain. Most cameras have very confusing menus.

If you want a camera which allows you to take exceptionally good photos with little stress, this is the one for you. Many cameras don’t do as well when you get into low-light situations, but this one doesn’t exhibit very bad pixilation at even the lowest light levels… and it seems to enhance the dark areas well. Many cameras will use a digital zoom, so the photos have little squares which are noticeable. This camera gives good details.

As far as charging times on the battery, the length of time you’ll get from the camera isn’t incredible, but comparable to other models in its range; I’d rate it as being ‘fair’ as to the length of time you’ll be able to shoot with it. You’ll appreciate this if you’re an avid nature photographer.

To be fair, the Canon PowerShot SD1200IS model isn’t perfect:

One annoying thing, which most other camera companies do too, is they don’t supply a video card with the camera; so you’ll have to purchase one after you’ve bought the camera.

All-in-all the Canon PowerShot SD1200IS 10 MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.5-inch LCD is a great camera for its price, rivaling any other 10 megapixel camera that I know.

Digital Photo Printer: A Review of the HP Photosmart B8550 Inkjet Photo Printer

Photos no longer need to be printed outdoors, what with the many photo printers on the market nowadays. And with the invention of the digital photo printer, printing at home is just like printing outdoors with the quality of photos produced by this device. For me, the HP Photosmart B8550 Inkjet Photo Printer is one of the most remarkable digital photo printers that you can find.

Design

As a wide-format printer, it looks quite compact.

Printing and Other Functions

The printer is a single-function device which is designed to create prints of beautiful photos, but it is also very capable of printing excellent quality documents. It can produce print outs in as fast as 32 pages per minute for black prints and 31 pages per minute for colored prints. There’s also no automatic duplex printing function, but there is a driver support provided in the model which you can use to install a program for duplex printing.

This digital photo printer can print borderless prints of up to 13 x 44 inches. It also allows easy access for printing without the need of a PC. The printer also has Real Life Technologies like Auto Red-Eye Removal, Photo Fix – contrast adjustment which can be edited through the LCD panel; while the Sharpening and SmartFocus features can be edited using the software while working on the document on the PC.

There are two paper trays for this printer – one for ordinary paper and one for photo paper. The ordinary paper tray can carry up to 125 sheets while the photo paper tray can accommodate up to 20 sheets. It’s very easy to print on this device because you don’t have to refill the paper tray over and over. Sometimes the printer is unable to detect the presence of the papers despite refilling them constantly.

Other Features

The printer can print very beautiful photos and pictures because it has five ink cartridges – two blacks, cyan, magenta, and yellow – which can provide as much ink as needed for every printing. One black is dedicated for photo printing while the other black is for document printing only, so you won’t have to worry about running low on text ink.

Conclusion

I have had several digital photo printers in the past, but none are comparable to the quality of this wide format printer. The HP Photosmart B8550 Inkjet Photo Printer is an excellent model which I can definitely recommend to anyone who wants to get an affordable yet very efficient wide format printer.

HP Photosmart B8550 – The Best For Photo Printing

Of course, I was expecting this printer to be great when I bought it, but I just figured it had standard features that come with all photo printers. The HP Photosmart B8550 is capable of printing just about 35 pages per minute, which is about double as fast as my last printer. It definitely saved me the money I would have put out to buy a standard printer.

Being able to print directly from my camera’s memory card is so awesome and something that I couldn’t do with my old printer. I have an 8 GB memory card that I fill up over a week’s time, and now I can just stick it into the printer’s slot and choose the pictures that I want to print. Considering I’m using this printer all of the time now, this really does save me a lot of time.

The Primer on Digital Camera Printers

Once you have clicked photos through your digital camera, then the next step is to turn these ‘virtual’ images into real photos. One way is to send the memory card to a digital photo laboratory and get the images developed there. Firstly, digital photo printers are available in two basic types. There are 4-color printers and 6-color printers. Nowadays, there are even 8-color printers available. Using good quality photo paper and one of the 8 color printers will give you results that rival your photo lab.

Secondly, the printing method used by the printer is also very important. There are 2 main printing methods: inkjet and thermal. Inkjet is commonly used for taking photo prints but the quality of the printout is not excellent. You need to have at least a 6-color printer to get decent print quality. · The printing width differs amongst printers. The highest quality printers will allow you to go larger but at a much higher per print cost.

· If you want to print really great looking black-and-white images, then the printer needs to have grey inks as well. So, an 8-color printer would be best suited for this purpose.

· Whether your printer has separate ink tanks for each color or does it have multiple inks in each cartridge.

· The ability of the printer to print directly from your camera or a memory card through a link.

· The printing speed per minute. Multi use printers are great for a busy office or household but if you want to make fine prints out of your digital images you should invest in a dedicated digital camera printer or digital photo printer.

Digital Camera Photo Printing Tips

Here are some simple digital camera photo printing tips to help you produce great prints of your favourite pictures.

My personal view is that 90% of the time a printer needs to have no less than 6 ink cartridges to reproduce a good photo print. What little steps can you take to ensure this doesn’t happen, and that printing digital pictures on your home photo printer leads to good results every time…?

Digital Camera Photo Printing Tips for Calibrating Your Monitor and Printer

So, the problem we’ve got to overcome is that computer screens and printers work on a different colour system.

Meanwhile your printer produces photos made up of little dots of ink (dots per inch/dpi) comprised of the CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, key black) colours.

Printers blend together the inks from their cartridges to accurately capture the colours in a photo. Firstly though, here’s what I do to make sure my printer is displaying photos as they should be printed. Successful digital camera photo printing involves making adjustments to the settings within the printer software, or ‘printer driver’.

A profile is just a combination of ink, paper and printer settings that will lead to good results. If your printer is turning out images with an inaccurate colour tone, giving everyone green skin or bright red lips (!), enter the ‘colour management’ section of the printer driver. Digital camera photo printing can also be done from within editing software like Photoshop.

In Photoshop go File > Print > Page Setup > Printer > Properties to access the settings.

So if your digital camera photo printing has been less successful than you would have liked so far, making use of the colour management options available in the printer driver or editing software should help you see an improvement.
