Digital Cameras
By syanfariDigital Cameras and Film Cameras
The debate is on: digital cameras and film cameras. Ever since digital cameras first came out, people have been plotting digital cameras against film cameras. Each type of camera is great for different reasons.
Here are some of the benefits of digital cameras:
· You can “develop” your film whenever you want… you do not have to wait until you are done with a roll of film.
· You can delete from your camera photos that you do not like.
You can take an imperfect photo and then later make it perfect by using photo software.
Many memory cards have a ton of memory these days!
· You can review and show people your photos straight from the camera.
· Digital photographs are less likely to appear grainy.
· Many say that color quality is better in digital photographs.
· The technology of digital cameras is constantly improving.
· Although much art can be made with digital cameras, many consider it to be a truer, purer art if taking with a film camera. It is much easier to find and buy a roll of film than a new memory card.
· The zoom on a film camera is always optical – this means that if you zoom in, you are going to get a better, close-up photograph that is still of excellent resolution. · Many consider film cameras to be easier to use.
· Generally, the resolution of a film camera is better (but this changes if you get a very high resolution digital camera… 7 megapixels or more).
Thus, the winner of the debate of digital cameras vs. film cameras is totally up to you.
The Advantages Of Digital Photos And Digital Cameras
It is beneficial to take a moment and try to list the advantages of digital cameras and digital photos and put some order in why everyone likes them so much. Digital photos and digital cameras some advantages and allow many new usages that were not possible with film. Low photo cost: Photos are taken with a digital camera literally cost nothing. Viewing the photos is immediate and costs nothing (there is no film development cost). With storage prices going down the cost of saving a photo on disk is practically zero.
The capacity: With ever growing storage capacities digital cameras today can hold hundreds and sometimes thousands of photos on a single media. The result is that a digital camera has practically infinite capacity. There is no time lost changing film and there is no photo opportunities lost due to lack of film or reserving film for later.
The feedback: One of the great advantages of digital cameras is instant feedback. Almost all digital cameras include a small LCD screen. Once a photo is shot you can go back and watch it on that screen. The ability to see how the photo looks like results in better photos. New shooting angles: With digital cameras you can take photos without your eye glued to the viewfinder. You can always shoot blindly like photographers used to do with film cameras.
Correcting photos: With digital cameras photos can be corrected using photo editing software. Changing conditions: With digital cameras the settings of the sensor can be changed instantly for each photo taken. Longevity: Digital photos never lose their quality. A digital photo will be identical today and in 500 years. Digital photos do not turn yellow, they do not fold or get torn.

Here are 3 of my Favorite differences in Digital Cameras vs Film Cameras and I am bias leaning a lot more to digital cameras because #1. The ability to make ready on the fly= I can test as many photos, and settings as I desire before I start to shoot my final shots deleting all unwanted photos at a click without no waste! #2. The ability to take my little tiny compact flash, or memory storage device and stick it in it’s little case then in my pocket and I have immediate mobile access to that storage where ever I go. #3. The cool features that continue to get better with digital cameras like on-board Video capabilities at a touch with Sound which can be uploaded to youtube in minutes. With cool features like this at the touch of a button, no wander people are so stuck on Digital Cameras!

I’m sorry, i’m late to answer your comment. I agree with you. One of the biggest debates in the photography world is whether digital cameras are better or film cameras better? The answer to this question cannot be answered in a simple yes or no. There are several issues which need to be considered while answering this question. Thanks..
